The rescue operation coordinated by the KBNet Philippines, Inc. (KPI) thru its KB Bicol Ragay (KB300) Chapter was spearheaded by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office and PNP Ragay assisted by the Barangay Council.

The mother, "Joy" (not her name), a 19 year old residence of Bgy. Bagbag, Novaliches, Quezon City reported to their barangay officials regarding the alleged abduction of her son by her former live-in partner, a 27 year old and father of the boy.

According to the mother, the suspect, her live-in partner for almost 1 year, went to their residence and asked permission to bring their child.  Thinking of the good intention of the father, she gave the boy with a promise to return in 3 days. However, after 10 days of waiting, she went to the suspect's house and found out that the father and son were nowhere.

Thru the help of relatives and friends, the mother got information that her child was brought  in Ragay, Camarines Sur.

Last October 8, 2012, Sir Michael Canlas (KC101), the national president of Kabalikat Charity, who happens to be a barangay kagawad of Bagbag, called up and sought assistance from Sir Jennis Nidea (30-01), founder and national president of KBNet Phils, Inc., a national network and umbrella organization of volunteer groups, who, in turn, called up Sir Archie Soriano (300-01), former president of KB300 Chapter and incumbent Vice Chairman for the First District of Cam.Sur Provincial  Executive Council (PEC) of KB Bicol.

After a short meeting (by remote) of Canlas, Nidea and Soriano,  that night (October 8),  the mother accompanied by Mam Carol Gaspar, Head of the Violence Against Women and Child/Barangay Council for the Protection  of Children (VAWC/BCPC) of Bgy. Bagbag, took a bus going to Ragay with an instruction to go directly at the house of Soriano in Bgy. GRS also of this municipality.

At the same time, Soriano summoned the help of several KB300 members to coordinate with Liboro Bgy. Captain  Capt. Elena Briones about the case, who immediately ordered her barangay tanods to assist the KB members surveyed the target area.  The group confirmed the presence of the baby.

The next day, October 9, Soriano with the 2 women, went to the Ragay Municipal Hall to coordinate with the MSWDO of Ragay and PNP.

The group then proceeded to the suspect's house, which were already cordoned by the tanods and KB members, and talked to suspect's mother who, at first, did not want to give the custodial responsibility to the child's mother.

After several minutes of explaining by the MSWDO personnel, Soriano and Bgy. Capt. Briones, the child ws then turned over to the mother.
