KBNET QUEZON TO CONDUCT 3-DAY TRAINING ON 1ST AID & RESCUE

ATIMONAN, Quezon -- The KBNet Quezon under the leadership of Sir Jojit Jariel (147-17) as provincial chairman will conduct a 3-day live-in training on Disaster Management, First Aid and Rescue and Firefighting on May 11-13, 2011 in this municipality.

The training according to Jariel is in line with the challenged posed by Sir Jennis I. Nidea (30-01), founder/national president of the KBNet Philippines, Inc. (KPI) during the KBNet Quezon's Provincial Assembly in Mauban, Quezon last February 5, 2011.

Nidea said "The member-organizations of the KPI must transform from a radio communications group to an emergency rescue/response group."

During emergency situation, people looked at the KBNet members and assumed "we know how to handle such situation however, the truth is - we really don't know what the public knew", Nidea pointed out.

The KPI founder said that in order to correct this, members must be encouraged to undergo trainings of this kind.

Jariel on his part said that they are so grateful that the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) of Quezon and the BFP and Local Government Unit of Atimonan, readily supported their proposed training.

At least 6 members from each chapter are required to participate in the training. "We are also inviting members of nearby chapters of KB Bicol, especially in Cam. Norte and Cam. Sur to join in the training", Jariel added.

Expected to grace the training's Opening Ceremonies at 8:00 in the morning on May 11, are: Atimonan Mayor Jose Mendoza (147-001), KPI's Nidea, high ranking officers of BFP in Quezon and Atimonan, Atimonan Sangguniang Bayan members and the KBNet PEC Officers.
