KBNet Phils all set for Holy Week Observance

The more than 150 chapters affiliated with the member-organizations of the KBNet Philippines are all set for the Gabay-Lakbay 2011 to assist travellers during the week-long observance of the Holy Week from Arpil 11-17, 2011.

Gabay-Lakbay, the setting up of motorist assistance stations maharlika highways and other major roads in the country to monitor and to response in case of emergency, is a yearly operations or activities of the KBNet Phils.

The Gabay-Lakbay Stations will be manned by the volunteer-members, on a 24-hour basis, equipped with radio communications such as VHF Radio units and mobile phones.

KBNet National Capital Region will set up Gabay-Lakbay and Water Stations on the roads from Pasig going to Antipolo City to assist pilgrims who either making a Visita Iglesia or Visita Altares.

This is also the scenario on the roads from Naga City to Calabanga in the province of Camarines Sur with the pilgrims or devotees of Hinulid walking inn barefoot.

Other chapters will set up Gabay-Lakbay and Baywatch Stations along beaches and resorts.
